Previous ebuild request (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=99860) and related  ebuild of 1.0 version of freepbx is outdated.
Please update the ebuild as soon as very interesting features has improved a lot the application.
Actual version is freePBX 2.1.0 at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=121515
Installing the application with the make of the package doesn't work mainly because of the wierd way to handle permissions and the request to execute apache as user "asterisk" breaking the compatibility with any other web application.

Please, don't file duplicate bugs for ebuild requests. If you have an updated ebuild, then attach it to original bug. If not, then it won't get updated and a new bug won't help anything.
