sorry, should have been "build prelink" of course. Hi there, I have read your bug report, but I am unable to fix it as I cannot reproduce any prelink emerge errors on my three systems. Many people are having these errors but I cannot find the solution(s). I could disable the tests, that will cut down on the emerge errors at the expence of quaility control. Will just have to leave it, PS. the prelink emerge works fine starting from a stage3 tarball so it must be something wrong with peoples upgraded systems. Stefan What kernel do you have, try the vanilla kernel. It has been known to fix the problem Stefan Sorry, but it _is_ a vanilla kernel... tried again with gcc 3.2.2 and binutils 2.13.90.0.18 - seems to work. The self-tests don't complain, and it did not crash (yet). Prelinked executables still seem to be indeed executable :-) As it works now via divine intervention, I will close it! |
