Description Matthew Schultz 2006-05-15 10:17:32 UTC
Can you add the mime types for rfc 3555? (Especially video/mp2t -> mpeg-2 transport stream)
Comment 1 Tuan Van (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-15 11:15:30 UTC
if you mean an entry in /etc/mime.types , the package owns that file belong to net-mail herd not base-system ;)
Comment 2 Matthew Schultz 2006-05-15 11:23:26 UTC
So what component does that belong to?
Comment 3 Tuan Van (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-15 13:54:59 UTC
reassign to net-mail.
Comment 4 Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-17 13:53:24 UTC
Are you aware of any file extensions used for these subtypes? The RFC doesn't seem to mention them.
Comment 5 Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-17 13:55:09 UTC
Oh, on second glance I found l16 extension in the RFC, but that's the only one.
Comment 6 Matthew Schultz 2006-05-22 14:45:29 UTC
You're right. I didn't notice any file extensions but they did list out the mime types. I guess the person that wrote the rfc didn't adhere to the guidelines for laying out mime types.
Comment 7 Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-24 15:24:17 UTC
New mime-types-6 ebuild just committed, with types from rfc3555 added.
Sorry for letting this lie for a while, Matthew.
Comment 8 Matthew Schultz 2006-07-24 21:57:08 UTC
Thanks for the additional. :-)
