Description Phil 2006-05-15 09:47:38 UTC
I have an EM64T system (x86_64), and am trying to build a 32 bit version of mplayer (Since mplayer-bin doesn't work) within a chroot environment using an i686 stage3 (according to the gentoo handbook) and after building all the dependancies within the chroot building the actual mplayer fails around this point:

cc -c -I../libvo -I../../libvo -I/usr/X11R6/include -fno-PIC -m32 -D_REENTRANT -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE -D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -I.. -o imdct.o imdct.c
In file included from imdct.c:761:
imdct_3dnow.h: In function `fft_asmb_3dnow':
imdct_3dnow.h:241: error: can't find a register in class `GENERAL_REGS' while reloading `asm'

!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

emerge --info in the chroot gives:
