Description Alexey Chumakov (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-05-11 08:13:32 UTC
Recent changes made to main/en/* files has been lost.

Seems that on April, 30 some older files were committed to cvs.

Examples are:
mirrors.xml (changes from revisions 1.382 to 1.390 lost; this on will be fixed by fox2mike as I've opened separate bug)

irc.xml (at least rev. 1.74 lost, i've not checked further)

lists.xml (at least 'gentoo-soc' mailing list lost).

i didn't check other files thoroughly -- seems all are involved.

I suggest to revert all changes to all those files back to April 29th then apply only the changes needed.

Thank you!

Has this been taken care of? What is the number for the "other" bug that you opened that fox2mike is taking care of?
Comment 2 nm (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-09-21 19:04:11 UTC
achumakov has added some patches to fix outstanding issues in bug 148592, so the sooner those are committed, the faster this can get fixed . . . it's been over 4 months.

Any more news on this? the bug I mentioned in the previous comment has been fixed. we all finished here? everything reverted & properly fixed?

I did a thorough audit of all the commits made to /main/en/ on and around April 30. There were some removals of things like irc channels, but checking later versions (and the current ones online) shows that all damage to the docs has since been repaired and the contents are shipshape.

The only thing we're now "missing" is that updated "About" page fox2mike is going to write for bug 131943. :p

Marking as FIXED, based on the checks of every file and appropriate revision in that directory.
