i used the libdir patch I'm seeing the same thing on ~amd64. And how can I fix the problem? The quick fix for the problem is to change to jpilot-0.99.7-r1 Or possibly something like USE='-gtk2' emerge jpilot or adding this line to /etc/portage/package.use: app-pda/jpilot -gtk2 Both work for me, if one doesn't mind the non-gtk2 interface, which I don't. Can someone determine whether this is a duplicate of bug 129835 or not please? The symptoms look identical... Hi Mike, i tested the libdir-patch. But it doesn't work. After change to jpilot-0.99.7-r1 or USE='-gtk2' emerge jpilot it works. David Ok, thanks for that David. Unfortunately all that really tells us is that something in the latest version's gtk2 interface breaks glibc-2.4 (since that seems to be the commonality between the emerge --infos listed). I'm still trying to determine if this isn't just an identical copy of 129835. My gut feeling is that it is, so I'm marking this as a duplicate. Please feel free to reopen this, if you think it is different... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 129835 *** |
