Attachments: patch for emacs 21.4 on uclibc

Description Aurélien Francillon 2006-05-05 18:13:43 UTC
Hi,
emacs fails to compile on an uclibc/hardened/x86 host, i guess the problems are only due to uclibc.

patch is following, it's addapted from http://svn.exactcode.de/t2/trunk/package/base/uclibc/patches/emacs-uclibc.patch
which is incomplete for emacs 21.4

Thanks
Aur

This looks like it should go upstream for review. I'm not on the emacs team and
they have not commented either. If the patch is for uClibc only then hunks 2 and 3
should be wrapped within defined(__UCLIBC__) as it looks like this patch would
change default compile behavior for non uclibc targets.

I contacted the specialist for uclibc of T2 (where the patch comes from) and he says, it won't be taken upstream as there are several problems and he does not propose patching Emacs that way.
