The legality of this is still to discuss. Won't be patched, and left to upstream to include when they can. I will leave the ebuild on my server hoping that nobody will sue me :) http://brcha.free.fr/files/ebuilds/ffmpeg/ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20060302-r1.ebuild http://wiki.multimedia.cx/index.php?title=FFmpeg_Summer_Of_Code hopefully a few months and won't be this problem anymore (In reply to comment #9) > http://wiki.multimedia.cx/index.php?title=FFmpeg_Summer_Of_Code > > hopefully a few months and won't be this problem anymore The internal ffmpeg of mplayer-1.0_pre20060810 plays VC-1 files now!! The playback isn't perfect, but at least they play. I'd love to see this in system ffmpeg as well, so I can watch VC-1 files in kaffeine as well. So basically this is a version bump request, can we get a ffmpeg snappshot from 20060810 or later please :). |
