Emerging net-wireless/at76c503a-0.12_beta23-r2 results in compilation failure on gentoo-sources-2.6.16. I have confirmed this problem with the latest CVS-version of the driver on at76c503a.berlios.de, so this is not only a issue on Gentoo. I still file a bugreport here hoping that someone could write a patch that makes the driver work with the latest kernel. Compilation output after manually trying to build the CVS version of the driver. I get the same output from emerge at76c503a. -------------------------------------------------------------------- CC [M] /root/Desktop/at76c503a/at76c503-i3861.o In file included from /root/Desktop/at76c503a/at76c503-i3861.c:141: /root/Desktop/at76c503a/at76c503-fw_skel.c:93: error: unknown field `owner' specified in initializer /root/Desktop/at76c503a/at76c503-fw_skel.c:93: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type make[2]: *** [/root/Desktop/at76c503a/at76c503-i3861.o] Error 1 make[1]: *** [_module_/root/Desktop/at76c503a] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.6.16-gentoo-r3' make: *** [modules] Error 2 -------------------------------------------------------------------- So this also happens with -r3 ? I'm sorry, I thought I was running the latest version. at76c503a-0.12_beta23-r3 builds fine. I haven't used it yet, but as the driver compiles I mark this bug as INVALID. |
