Hello,

Since the coming of the 2.6.16+ kernels in the stable branch of portage, owner of eagle-chipsets usb modems can no longer use the eagle-usb package wich had been declared deprecated by the team maintening it.

The new driver is called ueagle-atm, and is integrated in the new kernels, but in order to use it we need to use the firmware : could it be integrated into the portage tree please (this request was suggested by a develloper on the gentoo forums)?

Sorry, but it was suggested that this bug to be classed under the net-dialup section, but I did not see any option to do that...
