Attachments: Patch for kdelibs-3.5.2 to re-enable 3DES-EDE-CBC SSL cipher

Description Rick Harris 2006-04-28 05:00:29 UTC
Recent developments in kdelibs between versions 3.5.1 and 3.5.2 have seen the removal of support for the 3DES-EDE-CBC SSL cipher.

What this means to the end user is that some https:// sites may now not work in Konqueror.
In particular for Australian users (and others ??) this means at least two major banking institutions and government sites will no longer connect.

Read all about it here -> http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124684

Have attached a patch for kdelibs-3.5.2 to re-enable the 3DES-EDE-CBC SSL cipher.

If the current maintainer wishes to be strict with the committed kdelibs source, then perhaps a 'legacyssl' USE flag may be in order that applies this patch.
