Description Roman Polach 2006-04-27 15:29:40 UTC
In midnight commander 4.6.1 shift+Fn keyboard shortcuts are confused:
S-F6 does delete (that should be F8) instead of rename,
S-F3 does copy (that should be F5) instead of view,
S-F4 does rename (that should be F6)

It seams that S-Fn does S-F(n+2).

Non-shift shortcuts are OK...

this is probably gnome-terminal issue,
now I see there is no confuse in console running mc

gnome-terminal is passing the correct values to vim. I don't use mc, so I can't comment on that.
Comment 5 Roman Polach 2006-10-09 10:45:46 UTC
any idea? what should I try investigate harder?
Comment 6 Gilles Dartiguelongue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2009-01-04 01:14:43 UTC
worksforme for keys not already bound to a function in gnome-terminal.
please update the status of this bug if you are still experiencing this.

I have this problem with mc too. Resolved with reemerge mc with +slang flag.
