Description Julien Herfurth 2002-03-23 06:30:54 UTC
Hi,

Here is the ebuild file for MetaKit. Metakit is an efficient embeddable
structured database with support for relationnal joins, serialization, nested
structures and instant schema evolution. Python binding is available
(implemented in this ebuild), and also tcl support (not implemented).

DESCRIPTION="This is a sample skeleton ebuild file"

Could you clean this up a little please, then I can look at it again.
What about the tcl/tk stuff, and what category/package is this
supposed to be in again? :)
Comment 4 Julien Herfurth 2002-06-07 15:11:32 UTC
Hi,

I should be drunk when I wrote this one :-). I have the ebuild for metakit-2.4.6.
Should I submit it as a new ebuild or as an attachement to this one ?
Comment 5 Donny Davies (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-06-08 22:26:12 UTC
if you could attach to this bug it would be fine :)
Comment 6 Julien Herfurth 2002-06-09 03:58:24 UTC
Ok, I attach then ... Now the ebuild takes care of the tcltk USE flag, but as
know nothing about tcl, somebody should test it. All I can say about that is
that the tcl module is build.How should the license be handled ?

Suggested category : dev-db.
Comment 9 Daniel Mettler 2002-07-25 16:40:43 UTC
thx julien :) it works fine on my box with gcc 3.1 (gentoo 1.3b) and

CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=athlon-tbird -O3 -mmmx -m3dnow -pipe
CXXFLAGS=${CFLAGS}

it's required for flightgear (see "bugs" #5574, #5578).
Comment 10 Donny Davies (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-04 22:30:57 UTC
okay i've added this to dev-db/metakit, with a few cleanups.

its masked for the time being, so if you's could let me
know if it all works okay, i'll unmask it.
Comment 11 Daniel Mettler 2002-08-06 07:11:20 UTC
it works fine here :)
Comment 12 Julien Herfurth 2002-08-06 08:05:10 UTC
Runs the tests given with the sources fine and work ok for me
Comment 13 Paul de Vrieze (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-07 05:45:04 UTC

Comment 14 Donny Davies (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-08-17 14:50:13 UTC
