The 0.9x releases are a weekly series of unstable betas of a C++ rewrite of Pan that adds multiserver and nzb support, reduces memory use by over two thirds, can cut the time to download new headers by over two thirds, and slashes the time it takes to load headers from disk by almost 90%. New : - The preferences dialog returns, part 2: colors. Usability : - Use gnome-hig-correct name ("Quit") and shortcut (control-Q) for exiting Pan. - Removed dupliate toolbar buttons. - 'mark-article-unread' and 'download-selected-articles' are back. Bug fixes : -Fixed stack corruption in groups with more than about 40,000 threads. - fixed nzb assertion "`parts.size() > index' failed." - fixed nzb bug that gave some files too many parts. - Some multipart mime messages weren't displayed properly. - Fixed a couple of OS/X shutdown crashes. - Fixed duplicate shortcuts for 'mark-article-read' and 'use-monospace-font'. - Fixed resize error in tabbed layout mode. - Gracefully handle newsgroups with ':' in their name. - X-Faces now display correctly in Windows. - Some preferences, like window layout, weren't loaded properly in new sessions. - URLs containing commas didn't link correctly. - Fixed a handful of memory leaks.
