Description Bernardo S. A. Silva 2003-01-02 09:16:07 UTC
Hi everyone,

The new LiveCD is becoming great. I have two sugestions:

1- Where is the install.txt file, like in Gentoo 1.2 (it is good to remember
the steps). I know that I can use lynx and www.gentoo.org, but the file is good
to make installations without connection (like coping the portage snapshot and
the distfiles to teh directories).

2- I had never seen a LiveCD distrib. that have cdrtools. It can be VERY useful
when used on PCs with RuinDows that the cd-record apps doesn't recognize ISO. In
my work place it is a problem. When I want to record an ISO I need to use
cdrtools-win32 that always crash.

It is only sugestions... thanx a lot... Bernardo S. A. Silva

OK, install.txt is missing... will consider cdrtools.

Hi,

So. Did you put cdrtools on rc2? Are you planning to put it on rc3 or final?

   Thanx, Bernardo S. A. Silva

I think we will leave it off, but we are working on a nice "create your own livecd" script that will allow you to create your own livecd with cdrtools.

Let's close this bug. catalyst has been released some months ago.
