The thunderbird application icon (displayed in the taskbar and the window manager border) displays a black border whereas it should be transparent. This looks rather unfortunate. For illustration I attached a png graphic.

Hm, upstream uses a completely different application icon which does not have this problem. Where does the current Gentoo thunderbird application icon come from? Couldn't this icon be fixed as Thunderbird has to be branded for Gentoo anyways? I'm tempted to reopen this bug but want to hear your opinion first.
