Which ghostscript package are you using? Is this a problem with all pdf files or a specific one? Waiting for feedback. Right now, I'm using ghostscript-gpl-8.54, kpdf 0.5.4 (from kdegraphics-3.5.4), cups-1.1.23-r8. It happens with multiple PDF files - and not just with even- or odd-page printing. I tried to create a simple test case... But it wouldn't print *at all*. I will attach it. Created attachment 96014 [details]
PDF that won't print
I created a file in KWrite, with a "v" on every line, and printed it to PDF.
Now, if I open it in KPDF, everything looks fine. But, when I try to print it, nothing happens. Print preview also shows 5 blank pages.

A 3-page PDF that prints the second page backwards
Here, preview shows everything correctly. But, when printed, the second page is upside-down.
Is this bug related to bug #126705 ? Yeah, the symptoms seem to be the same: the 180 degree rotations and blank pages. But, that bug has been marked fixed. I just tried app-text/ghostscript-esp-8.15.1_p20060430 - and it still gives me blank pages... I'll see if 180-degree rotations are there, too. Is this still a problem with latest stable or testing KPDF? No response. |
