I can successfully install banshee after installing gst-plugins-gnomevfs-0.8.12 But the ebuild depends on >=media-plugins/gst-plugins-gnomevfs-0.10.0 This doesn't make much sense though, since it's looking for the 0.10 plugins checking for gst-inspect... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 decodebin plugin... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 playbin plugin... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 cdparanoia plugin... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 gnomevfssink plugin... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 gnomevfssrc plugin... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 audioconvert plugin... yes checking for GStreamer 0.10 gconfaudiosink plugin... yes (gst-inspect-0.10 was reporting gnomevfssink being there even before I installed 0.8.12) I hope this makes more sense to someone else than it does to me... strange... according to the logs is everything ok. Banshee on gentoo only uses gst 0.10 are you running prelink or something that is cracking gst ? Can you please re-install all gst ? It could be prelink causing it, I suppose. No amount of reinstalling gstreamer related packages fixed this, until I installed gst-plugins-gnomevfs-0.8.12, but now it works even after removing that package. So this probably needs to be marked as resolved something, unless someone else can reproduce it. closing the bug it's prelink fault ;). |
