TIPC (Transparent Inter-Process Communication) is a communications protocol open-sourced and maintained by Ericcson and Wind River.  The network backend is in the linux kernel, as of version 2.6.16.

The network is configured by a command-line app called tipc-config.  I'll attach an ebuild for it.

Yeah, me again.  Turns out there's an updated tinc-config in a package called "tipcutils", with one major difference: this one actually works with 2.6.16.

The tarballs are here: http://tipc.cslab.ericsson.net/pub/releases/ and version 1.0.1 is very basic, it only has a Makefile and tipc-config.c, but it works, and that's what counts.

I assume other utilities will eventually end up in here as well as tipc-config, so I've renamed the ebuild to tipcutils accordingly.  And I filled in the description stuff, too.  Please use this rather than the previous ebuild.

I'm attaching an updated ebuild for tipcutils version 1.0.2, which also appears to work fine.

I've been using linux 2.6.16.x/2.6.17.x with CONFIG_TIPC for a while now.  I've used the attached tipcutils ebuild in a production environment for a week or two, and I had used the previous version of tipcutils for a month or so.  Everything works.

It seems to work fine here too, amd64 (Pentium D). I hope this gets into the tree.

1.0.4 is in, enjoy.
For the future you can use dosbin instead of the dual exeinto/dobin part, also you should clear up the "Header". And src_compile is redundant (not needed) if there's nothing special done inside.
