We haven't had any reports of XFS failing on PPC, one of the devs uses it for his root fs, but perhaps it's an issue with the xfs creation tools. The only issue I'm aware of is yaboot trying to load a kernel from an XFS FS with holes, which doesn't work. Does anyone else have any experience with XFS either way or a reproducable way to trigger this? Closing with NEEDINFO I guess. If anyone can reproduce it, please let us know, especially if it's with a newer (2.6.16 or higher) kernel. There was an XFS bug that trashed filesystems, it should be fixed in the latest 2.6.17 releases and newer. |
