Don't run it as root (su, sudo..) or you won't have DISPLAY varible correctly set. drac@unique ~ $ echo $DISPLAY :0.0 drac@unique ~ $ scrot drac@unique ~ $ drac@unique ~ $ sudo -s unique ~ # scrot giblib error: Can't open X display. It *is* running, yeah? unique ~ # echo $DISPLAY unique ~ # |
