Description vvy 2006-04-08 08:31:19 UTC
Since the beginning of 2006, the clockspeed package will set the wrong system time because the leap second added at the end of 2005 is not reflected the included leapsecs.dat. See: http://thedjbway.org/leapsecs_update.html

This can be corrected by placing http://thedjbway.org/leapsecs.dat.2005-12-31 into clockspeed's files/ directory as leapsecs.dat and in the ebuild, changing

doins leapsecs.dat

to

doins "$FILESDIR"/leapsecs.dat

As the point of using TAI for the hardware clock as clockspeed does is to make sure the system time used for logging never just jumps around, an ewarn at the end of the ebuild might be appropriate. I'll try to file a bug report with a leapsecs.dat update BEFORE the next leap second insertion.
