failures to emerge are almost always related to the USE flags you select for your install. Try selecting less USE flags. In the portage screen you can choose which method of sync'ing portage to use. This sync occurs before any emerges take place on the new system. Furthermore, if an emerge failed during the last step of emerging additional packages, you should still be left with a bootable system. Try booting and then emerging manually from the new system. W8TAH codeman -- if that was in response to my bug and earlier questions, the install looks valid now, i finished it and im doing the post install (fluxbox and deps etc) |
