AS of 2006-3-28 seq24 has released a new version, 0.8.4
The version in portage is very old (0.7.0)
Also this release can depend on the folowing gtkmm versions:
GTKmm 2.4, 2.6, 2.8
and also support for LASH was added.

seq24 0.8.6 is released. Please upgrade the (very old) version in portage

As a quick fix, you can copy the media-sound/seq24 to your portage overlay, and then just:

cp seq24-0.7.0.ebuild seq24-0.8.6.ebuild
ebuild seq24-0.8.6.ebuild digest
emerge seq24

I tried this, and found out that seq24-0.8.6 builds fine with the otherwise unmodified ebuild, and works too...

Oops, forgot to check... this version needs gtkmm>=2.4... My bad ;). Here's an updated ebuild.
