All detail numerous troubles users have been having with fonts since wine went beta. In particular, the default font is either too small to read, or renders only as little boxes. I have upgraded to cvs both fontforge and fontconfig (since there were some notes about one or both programs being the problem), but neither repaired the problem. As a result, the last known wine version that works for me is 0.9.9. So, until this problem becomes more clear, I recommend masking wine > 0.9.9 to prevent this problem from affecting users.

Default System Font. Wine 0.9.10

Any app, including Notepad here, that calls a default font, will get this.

I am aware of bug #125145, but that bug was marked resolved and was for 0.9.9.
