Description Gerry 2006-03-26 03:34:51 UTC
mplayer-bin fails to load win32 codecs. The problem is that it looks for the files in /usr/lib/win32, while win32codecs installs them into /usr/lib32/win32, and /usr/lib is a symlink to /usr/lib64.

Comment 1 Malcolm Lashley (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-26 03:39:46 UTC
Presuming you are using mplayer-bin-1.0.20060217.ebuild (it is helpful to specify a package/ebuild version when filing bugs in future) this is a dupe of 125572 - either downgrade to the previous version - or await resolution of the aforementioned bug :)

Thanks.
malc.

Comment 2 Gerry 2006-03-26 04:46:27 UTC
Sorry for not telling the version number. I'm *not* using version 1.0.20060217, though. I'm using 1.0_pre7-r3. This seems to be the earliest version available in portage. (Should I reopen the bug ?)
