ChangeLog

Description Wiktor Wandachowicz 2006-03-26 00:48:17 UTC
Recently I've found a very nice program, ksudoku. But there was no ebuild
for it in portage, so I gave it a shot and created the ebuild myself.
The recent portage addition of gnudoku and availability of ksudoku on
PCLinuxOS were the most important factors that inspired me. Similarly to
the gnudoku, I propose to put it in the games-puzzle category.

Quoting the project page at sourceforge.net:

 "ksudoku is a fully-featured Sudoku puzzle generator and solver for KDE.
  With it you can generate and play 3D and 2D puzzles of different sizes
  and levels. The main algorithm is fast and extendable to any general
  graph coloring problem."

Notes:

Because this is my first real ebuild, done completely by myself, it may
have some shortcomings. I've used several documents (Ebuild HOWTO, Eclass
HOWTO + Writing KDE ebuilds, Contributing Ebuilds) and I hope that I did
everything right.

Additionally, the game requires OpenGL libraries to display 3D puzzles.
I'm not sure if I handled this requirement correctly. Please comment and
of course, please install the game and have some fun!

Friendly,
Wikor Wandachowicz

assert-redef-nowarn.patch

A one-liner that prevents displaying ugly "assert redefined" warnings
during normal (non-debug) compilations.

ChangeLog

I created this file, because the docs said that it should be done.
I've left the placeholders for the commiter's name and email.

Thank you very much for pointing this out. I really should have searched.
But the ebuild was not in portage, and I didn't realize that it could be
in the bugzilla already.

Given the recent discussions on the gentoo-dev mailing list:

* http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.devel/36728
* http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.devel/36767
* http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.devel/36878

if the "proposed" version of this ebuild was placed in the public overlay,
I'd search there first and vote for it if it worked for me.

Anyway, thanks again for your time.
