Well, use /etc/conf.d/local.{start,stop} or fix your DHCP/DNS? :) The problem is that your dhcp server is not updating the dns server. This is entirely a server side issue and I do not recommend the use of nsupdate at all. The solution by Jakub is correct, but a better place would be in conf.d/net postup and predown functions. Aye, local.start/stop would not work because I bring that interface up and down anywhere from zero to five times in a day. I can't fix the DHCP server because it's operated by a couple of overworked Windows drones. I will look up the documentation and experiment with /etc/conf.d/net functions. |
