No sound application is working for my sound card on my onboard motherboad sound (A7V8X-X)
After executing "lspci | grep -i audio":
00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50)

Don't restrict bugs. Also, this is not a support forum for (mis)configuration questions  - those belong to forums.gentoo.org or IRC. This integrated soundcard is supported just fine w/ alsa.

I have tried all the configuration/setups provided by gentoo and did not work.
This same onboard sound was working with CentOS.
