Bug 126892 – kernel panics when using the amrr flag on Madwifi-driver

When I enabled the amrr flag (accidently) both the current and unstable version of madwifi driver would behave strangely and cause kernel panics. When booting this would turn up in the syslog:

Mar 18 20:52:16 localhost alloc_dev: Unable to allocate device.
Mar 18 20:52:16 localhost wifi0: autocreation of vap failed: -5

Subsequent attempts at forcing ath0 to work would cause panics, as well as any attempt to unload/reload the modules.  Sometimes I could nearly get it working by hand (setting the essid and encr), but attempting to 'dhclient ath0' would cause an immediate panic. I was just filing a bug report on the entire driver somehow being borked, but noticed I had the amrr flag on when I pasted in the emerge --info.  Once I removed it everything seems to be kosher.

I haven't got a dump or anything in way of text from the actual oops.  I could provide one though if the problem can't be reproduced on other hardware.
