Bug 126785 – net-misc/rsync-2.6.7 fails to sync

When I try to use this last version, I have this error (while trying sync with masterdistfiles.gentoo.org or rsync1.us.gentoo.org) :

rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [receiver]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(471) [receiver]

So I stay in net-misc/rsync-2.6.6-r1 which is for me the last version ok

Presumably the same problem here.  This is from /opt/gentoo-rsync/rsync-gentoo-portage.sh.log

Downgraded to 2.6.6-r1, problem went away.

Same problem here on my local mirror and its clients. I had to restart rsyncd on the server to get rid of this problem.
