Description Beuss 2006-03-19 00:42:32 UTC
Hi,
When I click on a splashscreen on KDE, it disappears. I don't know if it is really a KDE bug since almost all spashscreens have the same behavior (KDE starting one, GIMP's one, ...).
Here is an emerge --info, if it can help...
Regards
Sebastien

Comment 1 Simon Farnsworth 2006-03-19 01:25:34 UTC
I believe (and http://groups.google.com/group/mailing.kde.devel/browse_frm/thread/edbb40808895015e/3ffb0d891ccdcc51%233ffb0d891ccdcc51 backs me up on this) that disappearing KDE splashscreens is intentional; it allows you to get rid of a splash screen that's in the way.
Comment 2 Diego Elio Pettenò (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-19 08:41:30 UTC
This is intentional behaviour (and to be honest, GIMP's splashscreen has nothing to do with KDE), as Simon already noted.

If you really don't want that to happen you probably should ask upstreams to add an option for that.
