Mplayer's xvidix video output plugin works on the alpha platform, but the ebuild doesn't support it.  This is due to the fact that the ebuild only builds mplayer with xvidix if the svga keyword is detected (which is only availible on some architectures).  While this makes it so that all users on a system can use the feature, xvidix still works for the root user.  Root also has the option of allowing users on the system use of this feature by setting the SUID bit on the mplayer binary.

Please change the ebuild so that svgalib is not required
