While building gcc3 I killed the build w/ <ctrl>-c, but make kept running.
I was pretty sure this problem had been fixed, but this was w/ _pre27.

I think the patch I (jnelson) sent you (drobbins) and that was incorporated into
recent versions of portage has fixed the problem.

I'll defer to you to actually close the bug.
