fluxbox-0.9.14-gcc41.patch
patch to allow compiling under gcc 4.1
Did this get sent upstream already? no upstream already had fixes this is in part taken from svn svn and .9.14 deverge a fair amount from what little i saw when creating this patch Ok, we'll let upstream handle this. thats all fine and dandy if they intend to release a new version soon but what about ppl using gcc 4.1 and such now? 4.1's in package.mask, right? yes it is i dont see why that matters as its still in portage masked or not Eh, it's hard masked, so you're not supposed to be using it. If you must use hard masked gcc versions, grab one of the fluxbox-svn ebuilds that're floating around. Otherwise, it's a fairly safe bet that there'll be a new fluxbox out long before 4.1+ gets unmasked. Please apply the patch. 4.1 will be coming out of p.mask in the next week or so. Just because it is hard masked is also not a good reason to not apply a patch, especially when someone gives it to you. Better to persuade upstream to stick out a new release... *** Bug 126547 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 126592 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 126728 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** 0.9.15 is in the tree and should work. If it doesn't, I'll cry. |
