Description Cristiano Chiucchiolo 2006-03-11 14:26:29 UTC
I have tried wop-0.4.2 on amd64 and it works perfectly, so you could add the ~amd64 keyword to the ebuild in portage.
Comment 1 Luis Medinas (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-03-18 18:17:55 UTC
the game works on amd64 but it needs a patch to compile with gcc4.1. So we will wait for the patch and then keyword it (since gcc 4.1 will hit ~amd64 soon).

Give this a go and let me know if anything blows up

I'm one of the authors of WoP. wop-0.4.2 does _not_ work when mixing 32/64 bit versions as server/client. We have fixed this issue in cvs and are using mixed binaries every day now which proves to be pretty stable. So stay tuned for an upcoming release.

Thanks to Mark for the gcc4.1 patch. It has been added to our cvs version (resistance is futile ;-)
Comment 4 Horst Schirmeier 2006-03-30 07:59:34 UTC
0.4.3 has been released; Mark's patch (comment #2) is included, and inter-32/64bit incompatibilities have been addressed.

Please bump version and add ~amd64.

0.4.3 already in the tree, but waiting for ~amd64... In any case it's not a gcc41 issue any more...
Comment 6 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-06 09:48:30 UTC
Added ~amd64
