New versions of the videolan client and server don't have an an ebuild yet.

Client (vlc):
Release 0.4.6
latest gentoo ebuild 0.4.5

Server (vls):
Release 0.4.0
latest gentoo ebuild 0.3.3

not really that easy to pump version
seems there are some troubles with qt
