kde-base/kdegraphics-3.4.3-r4 refuses to compile on gcc-3.4.4 and 3.4.5. To workaround the issue the followg command was issued.

CFLAGS="-fPIC" CXXFLAGS="-fPIC" emerge kdegraphics

Assuming it's a problem with the ebuild?

No, it means you did something wrong.

Please:

- next time don't restrict the bug;
- provide the error message comprehensive of the last part of output;
- provide emerge info output.
