I have installed a completly stable x86-gentoo for a friend of mine.
Normaly I use bleeding edge compilers and many ~x86 packages (which works very good) so I'm quite surprised that a completly stable system has problems with a crashing konsole.

Well, that it is. konsole crashes randomly after some time of being used.
gdb puts out the following:

I've had this issue in the past as well.

I ended up having to downgrade my compiler and do an emerge -e system.  I also had to do a MALLOC_CHECK_=0 to help on one of my system. 

Other systems running gcc-4.0 and latest glibc work fine though, so I dunno what would have caused it.

Is this still an issue with konsole-3.5.5?
