I'm investigating another poppler/kpdf bug and ran into this problem as well. The kde-base/kpdf-3.5.1-r2 ebuild requires >=app-text/poppler-bindings-0.5.0, however if app-text/poppler-0.5.1 is installed, and poppler-bindings-0.5.0 is installed simultaneously, it will bail similar to this. What version of poppler-bindings do you have installed? If it's not app-text/poppler-bindings-0.5.1, try installing that and report whether it works. If so, then poppler and poppler-bindings may need to both be the same version, which the kpdf ebuild doesn't appear to check. I don't even know if that's possible to do with the portage system, but if that's the solution, this may need to be accounted for somehow. Please use -D while upgrading, having misaligned poppler and poppler-bindings is not something you want anyway... also because when updating poppler and not rebuilding poppler-bindings, the deps are broken. |
