Bug 125023 – missing icons in Evolution 2.4.2.1 with hicolor-icon-theme-0.9

On my machine the most recent version of Evolution has problems dispaying both custom and stock icons. (I'll attach a screenshot shortly). Neither re-emerging evolution nor gtk+ has fixed this for me. I've tried running gtk-update-icon-cache to no avail. Other GNOME components don't have this problem (see gedit on the screenshot).

The following errormessages show up on the console:

Can you try downgrading hicolor-icon-theme to 0.8?
