error is:
xine: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.1/xineplug_decode_ff.so: undefined symbol: pp_get_context

tried on a lot of 640x480 avi files (that were playing some weeks ago).
system is ~x86. I found this webpage 
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.video.videolan.vlc.general/5662
that seems to point ffmpeg as the cause, but the ffmpeg ebuild already has 
--enable-pp option on. (I think this can be a xine fault since mplayer is running
fine, so it seems to me a non-updated function in xine-lib)
