there shouldnt be any trouble with this ... but i'd like to kill off the old style linux-headers and 2.4.26 uses kernel-2.eclass

2.4 isn't supported on amd64, no need to stablize it

then either use ~amd64 in all 2.4 ebuilds, remove amd64/~amd64 from all 2.4 ebuilds, or stabilize 2.4.26-r1 for amd64
