What version of xen? Are you running hotplug or udev? Do you have the udev xen rules installed? What errors are you getting from hotplug? Hello, a emerge iproute python twisted bridge-utils curl fixed the Problem I think it's a depend Problem in the ebuild Xen already depends on all of those things (do an emerge -pe xen), except for twisted which isn't used by xen anymore. You original error message was from xen trying to hotplug a virtual block device (eg. hard drive partition), not a network device, though if something is wrong with udev/hotplug it can obviously affect both.
