I tried to report this to the MythTV crew but got the response that OSS should
not be turned off. For more information check out Ticket #1373 in MythTV-trac.

As the suggested resolution by the developer is to not disable OSS, then
might i suggest that something could be done to the ebuild?

For example removing the OSS useflag and/or requiring OSS in the kernel?
(Users should not be able to compile it with a -oss useflag)

(Not sure though if OSS needs to be enabled in the kernel for that feature to work..)

Included the patch for this in mythtv-0.19_p9163.... so  Fixed in CVS.
