Need a whole load more info. Check your dhcpd. logs on the server and see if it's offering any addresses to dhcpcd. Also check the logs on the client and see if it's logging anything about why it cannot use the address. Please attach all relevant logs as dhcpcd-2.0.1 and dhcp-3.0.3-r2 work fine as client and server for me. Lastly, dhcpcd is not the only dhcp client in portage for Gentoo. We also support dhclient (part of ISC's dhcp), pump and udhcpc (part of udhcp) |
