Gphoto2 and libgphoto2 have new releases as gphoto2-2.1.99 and libgphoto2-2.1.99 and they've been out for a while now and there are no ebuilds for them.  This is easily fixed by copying the lastest gphoto2 and libgphoto2 ebuilds in portage to the new version and digesting them, however it makes it a pain when a person snycs and it deletes the copy and then wants to downgrade your version.  

There is already a bug report (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120812) on gphoto2 pertaining to the same thing and nothing seems to have gotten done yet.
