Bug 123151 – cant start dvdrip-master when USE="-fping" emerge dvdrip

I first emerged dvdrip without fping, which of course comes default negative.

It was then impmossible to start dvdrip-master, until I install manually fping, or put fping on.

Please, find a way to either
- do not install dvdrip-master when -fping (and warnt user it wont be installed)
- find a way to let master run without when flag is of (may require a fix in ebuild or a patch against sources) <= BEST OPTION TO ME

otherwise, supress this flag and force dvdrip to depend on fping.

* actually, this ebuild leads to 'unusable system' since
USE="-fping" emerge dvdrip
install programs that cant work, even if problem is *minor*.

By the way, ask fping to chmod +s whats required ...

I guess it was 0.97.6

since emerge -vp offers to re-install it, and I dont think I did esync+remerge since I wrote that bug, but I am not 100% sure.

sorry for taking so long, now there is no dvdrip-master, turns out on tool check it shows internal tools as installed incomplete

works for me

when ebuild have been compiled with minues fping USE flag, then the binary file  /usr/bin/dvdrip-master can not be executed, and starting the cluster control pannel ALWAYS bugs and closes the main window ... 

-1- if /usr/bin/dvdrip-master cant run without that dep, then ebuild SHOULD NOT install it when merging package with /
-2- ... lets create a new bug for that pannel problem: bug 127524

that USE will be gone soon, i will have to look to upstream regarding the closing of the app if dvdrip-master has not been starte yet

now it really is just a dupe of the other bug, closing this, leaving the other open until the issue is resolved
