Comments in httpd.conf say we can internationalize error responses. Unfortunately the gentoo-webroot-default package doesn't contain the error directory nor the .var files. I think it should be added to the /var/www/localhost directory.

Same thing here. I see this in the TODO for the package:


* add error pages
  (maybe create own - gentoo dedicated - error page set)

I think the default Apache error pages should be included until the maintainers decide to include a custom set of error pages. It doesn't look very nice to see
"Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.".
