Note to readers: this ebuild is not yet in portage Please state the version of the kernel to which /usr/src/linux is pointing. 2.6.15-gentoo-r2 works fine here on amd64. sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.11.12 (and below, supposedly) is known to fail. I have tried building against 2.6.15-gentoo-r5 myself, without problems. Could you provide me with 1) The first part of the output of your "emerge openafs-kernel" (including the part in which it says which kernel it's gonna use, up to the first real compilation statements) 2) Your kernel configuration? Thanks (In reply to comment #3) > This is strange... I have sent the files in a private email to you > > Thanks > Just a wild guess: may be it's problem with KBUILD_OUTPUT ? OpenAFS'S ebuild does not like such configurations :( I managed to fix this problem with few symlinks from /usr/src/linux/include to /var/tmp/kernel-output/linux-2.6.16-gentoo/include ... Has this issue been resolved, or does the problem still persist? (In reply to comment #6) > Has this issue been resolved, or does the problem still persist? > I do not know because I cannot test. The only amd64 machines are our webservers and I cannot play around with them at the moment. I have emerged 1.4.1 on my x86 desktop under 2.6.12-gentoo-r6-1 Any new information on this one? Don't know if it helps, but I've just put a 1.4.2 version in the tree, and a masked 1.5.8 should follow shortly unless I encounter severe problems. If your problem persists, please provide the errors with the newer ebuilds and reopen the bug. |
